Cabin Pressure

May 24, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

Tens of thousands of passengers are facing disruption as the first of a series of strikes by British Airways cabin crews begins. They will be hit by the walkouts despite a last-minute offer by the United union to call of the action if the airline reinstates travel perks.
The strike is the first of three five-day walkouts over the next four weeks but they should not affect flights during the World Cup or in the peak summer holiday season. However, some employees are still unhappy at what they perceive as the union’s militancy.
