Indonesia Charge Tax on Raw Minerals Exports

Indonesia has said it will impose an average of 20% on the export of 14 raw minerals, including copper and gold, in an attempt to encourage local processing. He said it would also prohibit miners from exporting these minerals until they submit plans to build for local processing facilities.

Rosneft and Statoil in Arctic Exploration Deal

Russian oil company Rosneft has signed an agreement with Statoil of Norway to the seas around the Arctic exploring. It is the third business Rosneft signed last month, according to the Arctic agreements with Italy’s ENI and U.S. giant Exxon Mobil. Norway’s government held firm to preserve ownership of one third of a new joint venture to explore one of the Rosneft-fields in the Barents Sea.

The deals are a sign of the growing global ambitions Rosneft. The Statoil agreement also includes the three blocks of Rosneft in the far eastern Sea of Okhotsk. Some media reports put the value of the transaction at approximately $ 2.5 billion (£ 1.5bn), but Statoil said the BBC that “there were no evaluation of the deal. Pending results of further exploration wells could be drilled, and if we manage to make discoveries, there is also considerable investment for development to be,” Statoil spokesman Bard Glad Pedersen.

New car Sales Rise 3.3% Last Month

Has new car sales in Britain rose to 142 322 last month, up 3.3% from April 2011, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said. It was the biggest percentage increase in sales so far this year.

The increase was up to a 14.8% rise in private sales, with sales up 3.4% of the fleet and business sales fall 11.2%. The SMMT has forecast its 2012 revenue increased by 0.4% to 1.95 million vehicles, it would be seen above the level in 2011, revised.

Euro Star has said that its sales increased last year, passenger numbers by 2% to 9.7 million.
