Make Extra via Beating the Bushes

August 6, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

The trouble with pheasonts is they don’t acrtually like being shot at. Indeed, they are particularly loathe to take flight when 15 tweed-clad bankers are waiting 20 feet away with loaded 12 gauges ready to blow their heads off.
Similarly tweed-clad bankers dono’t like schlepping all the way up to Norfolk for a day’s killing and finding themselves killing nothing at all. They will get angry as they could have spent the time more effectively in London withdrawing overdraft facilities from small companies or dreaming up ways of selling dodgy loans to people’s pension fund.
This make an opportunity for a new job—beater.
The beaters get paid to walk in front of the shooters ashing bushes and hedgerows wit sticks and generally scaring the pheasants so they flee in fear, instinctively launching themselves upwards and straight into the crosshair of the waiting shooters.
The shoot organizer will be happy as they are providing the servic they promised. The shooters will be happy as they get to maim wildlife as expected. And the beater will be happy as well as they get fed and watered during the shoot, and are paid between GBP 15 to GBP 50 per day depending on location and usually get to take home a brace or two of the kill, savnig some more money on supper.
