These days, the company has sued its fast-growing rival and maker of Google’s Nexus One—HTC, accusing the Taiwanese company of stealing its smartphone technology of the iPhone.
Apply claims that HTC has infringed 20 of its patents in respect of user interface, underlying architecture and hardware. Most HTC handsets using the disputed techonology run on Google’s Android system. Apple wants the US Internatinoal Trade Commission to slap a ban on HTC importing its products into the US, which is the market dominated by the company.
According to Spple’s chief executive—Steve Jobs, it is said that the competitors should create their own origianl techonolgy rather than stealing others’.
