Here are ten tips for the business owners to follow in order to offer better customer service and keep their customers around.
1.	Keeping in Touch With Your Customers Is Key
One of the most important steps to take in order to not only gain customers but also keep them is to exhibit top-notch client communication.

2.	Notifies Your Customers That Their Business Needs Are Being Met
Keep in touch with the customers on a continual basis and let them know that their current business needs are being met. Even if you are in the middle of a project, sufficient communication gives them peace of mind in knowing that an upcoming deadline will be met in time.

3.	Contact with Customers Is Beneficial Should Job Related Changes Be Needed
Keeping the line of communication open is important, should any changes be needed to the job you are working on for your customers. It will also make the customer feel comfortable in knowing that they can get in touch with you whenever necessary.

4.	Earns the Respect of Your Customers
Good customer service skills will be a good way to earn the respect not only of your client but also of the potential new customers, as your business will be spoken favorably of amongst the masses.

5.	Always Offer Top Notch Service
Ensure that the business offerings should always be the first rate. No matter how nice of a business owner you are and how many incentives you offer, if you fail to offer top-notch services it can be the downfall to your business relationship.

6.	Inquire About Customer Comments
Occasionally, ask the customers how your business is doing overall and if there is anything should be changed to make the business more favorable to their own needs.

7.	Know Your Customers by Name
Knowing your clients by name is very helpful for relationship building as it makes the clients feel appreciated and given due recognition.

8.	Make Conversation with Your Customers
Though it is important to discuss business matters at length with your customers, it is also a wise idea to make small talk with them as well. It makes them feel that you are interested in them as individuals and not just view them as income.

9.	Offer Incentives to Your Regular Customers
Another effective way to build a strong customer relationship is to offer them free incentives, such as a free dessert or beverage, on an occasional basis. But don’t offer these incentives too often.

10.	Makes It More Likely Your Customers Will Be a Repeat Customer
Maintaining good contact is a way to garner repeat business, as most customers like to deal with attentive business owners and employees.
